Word count in application text fields in GC counts the number of words, but doesn't count them down toward the max amount allowed. See attached photo. In this example the max word count set is 250 and as I type it will tell me how many words I have entered. BUT if I cut and paste, which many applicants do, if you are over 250 it just says "there cannot be more than 250 words" without providing the word count for the text you have entered. It would be much more helpful if it showed how many words there are currently are so you can delete down to the amount needed.
