The current widget functionality on the Grants Connect dashboard does not support displaying breakdowns across multiple types and cannot generate a total sum for custom form field columns. While the axes show overall column totals, the bar or pie charts do not display aggregated totals when the data is further segmented. Additionally, the “sum” option is limited to monetary values in system‑defined fields and cannot be used to total counts such as number of applications or beneficiaries.
Enhance the widget configuration to allow summation on custom form fields and enable total values to be displayed directly on charts, even when data is broken down by multiple categories. This would improve accuracy and provide a more comprehensive view of key metrics.
