Customer pain:
GrantsConnect dashboards cannot sum many numeric or currency fields, including custom fields (such as Year 1 / Year 2 / Year 3 Payment Amounts and Total Anticipated Request Amount) and several standard GrantsConnect fields that are available in reports but not supported in dashboards.

Impact:
To calculate totals, users must build and export reports and complete summations outside the system. This creates unnecessary manual work, slows financial and program decision-making, and increases the risk of errors—particularly for foundations managing multi-year grants, budgets, and portfolio-level funding commitments.

Solution:
Enable dashboards to sum any number or currency field, both standard and custom, across all applications or filtered subsets. This would allow foundations to view total demand, funding commitments, and financial exposure directly within dashboards, improving efficiency, accuracy, and confidence in GrantsConnect reporting.
