Currently on due diligence screen it says "Needs Vetting" but only provides steps for nonprofit/NGO to complete their vetting. I want to be able to trigger from the due diligence screen the vetting request to YC. Instead I have to screen shot and pull the org and contact information, go to an email, paste, engage my CSM to start the vetting process for me. Then we should be able to see the status of vetting on the due diligence screen as to avoid multiple rounds with the CSM.

agree with this 100% Our first thought was to create a vetting specific program within GC and submit a dummy application to trigger vetting. But I'm concerned about how much status updating we can see that way. Do we only see the approval, denial, or cancelled emails? What about those that need to go to a charity partner? Will it follow same timeline? And then what about those that are under 5 years that will need to go to Global Giving - will they still get denials and then how would they get lifted and shifted to Global Giving? This is a HOT topic for us right now because we don't use GIVE yet (not sure that will solve the Global Giving problem for orgs under 5 years though) and the lack of visibility is causing us to spend $$$$ on special services to request, get specific updates, and to handle the lift over to Global Giving. The process is not going well.
Meg, our global nonprofits a not understanding that first of all and because the grant applicant portal is separate than NPOConnect it's a lot of work on our teams to get both pieces done. Secondly, we are working to find quality, vetted partners, so we are taking advance action to vet partners ahead of time so then they are ready for payment when we are ready for partnership. The time for vetting is very long so we need to be proactive. Thanks for considering.
Thank you. Currently, vetting is initiated from an applicant creating an application -- could you please explain why you would need vetting for an org that is not tied to an application?
