Currently when adding a form to a workflow level, the only options for setting a form due date are based on actions (e.g. due X days from approval date, award date, cycle close date, etc.) It would be extremely helpful to be able to select a calendar due date instead (e.g. form is due on 12/31/23 for all applicants within a program if the form has been sent to them). Our organization sets interim and final report deadlines in our grant agreements at the time of grant approval and we currently have to work backwards to ensure that the form due date aligns with the calendar date already set and communicated to grantees.
Thank you very much for the additional information!
DuPont often finds themself having to use complicated math/calculations in order to a provide streamlined due dates for their programs (utilizing date approved, date entered level, etc.). To the team, this feels like an unnecessary hindrance as they configure mid-year and end of year impact reports for their NPO community. Particularly for clients with multiple programs and launch dates, calendar date selection would be a massive added convenience.
For PwC, they would utilize this for a program that has 2 award cycles per year. Ideally, we'd want to assign a due date for the impact form and tie it to a cycle.
For International Paper, their Impact Forms have a set due date each year. There isn't a way to assign a due date, since the current rules are tied to another action in the system (date approved, date entered level, etc - which are different for each applicant). If we were able to select a calendar due date, we'd be able to automate reminder / past due emails as well as easily identify apps that are past the deadline.
For those of you that voted on this idea, or even if you didn't, would you be willing to provide your use case here? It would be helpful to hear from more of you how precisely you would use this feature and what you would achieve with it.
Hi Meg,
After the due date passes, we would still utilize the form reminder emails and would want the "form past due" email reminder to trigger. After a due date passes, it would helpful to be able to extend the deadline for some grantees manually if needed.
Using the single due date option, we would be trigger all forms at the same time for a current cycle. When it is time to distribute the same form for a new cycle of grantees, we would adjust the single due date but that shouldn't affect previous forms already sent / previous cycle grantees because the previously sent forms would be submitted already. Let me know if that helps provide more context!
Hi Rachel. Just following up on this idea. When the above idea is implemented, what would you need to happen after the due date passes? What should happen to workflow level forms after the due date passes or to new forms that go out after the due date passes?
