Currently I am working on WFL that applications will route to without uploaded supporting documentation in GrantsConnect. The client would like to keep this upload fields as "not required" so that the applicant can still submit and come back later to upload. However, they want a special workflow level that the application will route to as a holding wfl, before routing to the first level of review. They would also like an email letting the applicant know that documentation upload is still needed before application review. In order for me to make this process work it will require and additional custom form to have the email attached to within the hold wfl in order to send the applicant the reminder email. This additional document will require action before the application can move to the next level. To save time and confusion on the applicants part, it would be nice if there was an ability to add a custom email to the workflow instead of requiring the addition of a custom form.
Current workflow example:
Application is submitted without supporting documents uploaded
Application is routed to Documentation Hold workflow
Documentation Request custom form is loaded into workflow level
Applicant receives reminder email
Applicant uploads supporting Documents to application
Applicant must take action on additional custom form before routing can take place to review level
Ideal workflow example
Application is submitted without supporting documents uploaded
Application is routed to Documentation Hold workflow
Attached email to Documentation Hold Workflow level sends applicant reminder email.
Applicant uploads supporting documentation
Application is routed to review level
Client Name | Blackbaud |
Employee Name | Ben Cavin |
There would be a form, a completed application, however the system would have the ability to recognize there is no documentation attached and based on the lack of documentation place in an independent WFL until added by either the applicant or the Grants Manager.
Thank you for your feedback. If there is no form, how would the documents get uploaded?
