As their CSM, I recently ran into an issue when running into a bug that improperly recorded that 70 emails went out when they did not. In the future, I'd like to be able to confirm with the client with confidence that a mail actually went out, which email by ID went out, what the content was and when it went out. This is especially important when there are mails sent in bulk (1,000s) and the only way to confirm that a mail was sent is to look at each application separately.
